The picture located on my page until today, was taken when I was about 65. I am now 74. My hair used to be black. Well, that’s gone. I am petite and slender, which I have been most of my life.
My ancestry is mostly French and Irish.
My nom de plume is Micheline Bourbeau-Walker. Bourbeau is my mother’s name.
Love to everyone ♥

Thank you Derrick. For many women, growing old is difficult to accept. But ageing is something we cannot stop. I had to say that I was 74. Take good care of yourself. 🙂

Derrick, We are almost the same age. We’re both just carrying on as graciously as we can and we are keeping busy doing what we like to do. ❤

You look beautiful and I’d be willing to bet that even though ten years have passed, you look just the same.

Thank you. You’re quite right. My hair is nearly white and I will let it go white. But otherwise, I have not changed very much. I did not want to say that I was 74, but I have now said it and I feel better. Love.

Glory in it! I’m going to be 62 later this year but I let myself go white over ten years ago and it made me look much younger. If it had been grey or ‘salt and pepper’ as they call it over here, I may have stuck to my dyed dark red!

White hair is beautiful and there is nothing wrong with ageing. In fact, it’s rather pleasant if one is healthy. We should not let society put unnecessary pressure on us. Last year, I bought a lovely but smaller apartment in a building that has elevators and a heated swimming pool (no chlorine). It is located a five-minute walk from essential services: grocery story, post office, etc. and a café. We have to adjust. Let’s glory in it. Love.

Thank you Jan. I was a little afraid of saying that I was 74. But we all get older and a little fragile. It’s our human condition. Love.

Beautiful, Micheline. It looks like a painting. What age? You’re just turning into a Grand Master. Cheers

What a kind thought. I am turning into a Grand Master. It’s not a painting. I used the little on my computer. There are filters that can colour the picture, but this is the real Micheline. I can’t believe how quickly we move from year to year. I tire more easily, but I still have projects. However, I was afraid of saying that I had turned 74 at the beginning of July but I have now said it! My best to you.

Happy Belated Birthday, then. I really admire your courage and dignity; there’s really nothing to be ashamed about living this life’s cycles to the best of our ability. Cheers

It is a natural cycle of life. My hair will remain white and I will not undergo any form of surgery. I will continue to derive happiness from what I do and there is still much to do. The time had come for me to make this decision. Take care, Micheline

Micheline, I am nearing 63. My hair is almost pure white, and I love it. I love your new photo, too. There is grace in age, and beauty carved out of a long life.

Gallivanta, ageing is part of life. All we can do is take good care of ourselves and accept that we have reached what I could call, the fourth season: Winter. Snow is white. I haven’t age quickly, but I was born 8 July 1944, which is 74 years ago. I am still organizing the apartment, but as long as one can function, all is well. Love ❤
