I have noticed that one can no longer “show likes.” It may be a temporary problem and a problem intended at progress. If I cannot see who liked at post, I will lose my community of readers.
Moreover, I cannot be interrupted when I write a post because I lose my train of thought. In fact, after writing a post, I am tired and must rest a little. So, I have writing days and reading days. I am growing old.
It may therefore be a good policy to re-enter the “like shows,” if a permanent change is contemplated. It would also be very convenient of all gravatars led to a page of a pose. One would click on the page. It is extremely usually. Remember proverbs: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it (Wikipedia). The French say « Le mieux est l’ennemi du bien » (The best is the ennemy of the good.) This proverb has been anglicized, but it is not necessarily understood.
I have also notice that I lost 1000 readers overnight. The number was 3000 +.
I thank you very much for keeping posting on one’s blog possible.

Micheline, I for one was able to “Like” it. Perhaps something is preventing you from seeing it. WP is madness. Hope you find the trick. Take care.

I was also capable of liking a few posts, but most I couldn’t. A community is important. Yes, it could be my computer. I am purchasing a better computer. The friend with whom I spent two weeks told me that it was defective and found what I needed. My smartphone was also worthless and unsafe. I am about to return for a visit and will come home with good equipment. I did suspect it was my computer. There were a few posts I could like. I’m lucky to have two homes. John is nearly deaf, so my presence is useful, and I need him for computer and smartphone problems. He has lovely guest facilities. Thank you for writing. 🙂

I haven’t noticed these problems yet, and I hope they won’t come to me. But not even I, who have already grown old, can chase the so-called improvements

Louisa,
It seems the fault is my computer, but rapid changes result in crises. I am also chasing the improvements. I can no longer do what I was able to do before

Sometimes I’m unable to Like a post. It is a problem with my computer because if I restart it or just wait for a while the problem disappears.

I now realize that it could be my computer. A friend told me that the computer I am using is not for bloggers. It showed likes until a few days ago. Something has happened. Thank you for writing.

There is little to zero chance that your computer is affecting your WordPress instance in any capacity. Assuming that you’re hosting WordPress on a remote server, it’s not possible for your computer to be the culprit. Don’t waste your hard-earned money on expensive new hardware when it won’t solve your problems. Also, people not liking your posts doesn’t mean that they aren’t reading and enjoying your content. I’m not a WordPress user so I can’t like posts but I still follow your content and I generally enjoy it.

I thank you very much. I will ask WordPress’ Happy Engineers to take a look. I could see “show like” buttons five days ago. As for followers, they are limited by the contents of my post and their length. I could write shorter posts, but it would be at a cost I do not want to pay. I am happy with my WordPress community. They are extraordinary people and dear friends. What more could one ask for? Thanks once again. 🙂
