As a child, Joseph Haydn was a chorister at Saint-Étienne, in Vienna. However, he spent much of his life at Esterháza, the home of the Esterházy who were Hungarian aristocrats. Mozart performed at Esterháza. I so love this Serenade by Joseph Haydn.
L’Impromptu de Versailles is a play by Molière. None are easy.
Love to everyone 💕

I was delighted to have the pleasure of attending an organ concert at St Stephan Cathedral once. They truly did a splendid restoration job.
I hope you are well and keeping safe, dear Micheline!
Much love,

St Stephan was very damaged. It has been restored. This is where Haydn was introduced to music. He had a high voice. Afterwards, he tried to earn his own living and did. After Esterhaza, Salomon persuaded him to go to London, where he was enormously successful. I love his quartets. Do stay safe.
Much love,
Micheline

It’s an exquisite Serenade. Yet it is short. I gravitate to this kind of music to work my way back into serenity, which is the best place we could be during the pandemic. Haydn composed such lovely music. Thank you for writing. 🙂
