Richard Pierpoint, a Black soldier (The Canadian Encyclopedia)

As you know, my posts and my colleagues’ posts are our intellectual property. They belong to us. So, they cannot be removed. As well, although suggestions are helpful, we no longer have a toolbar. It provided us with special characters. We could indent, colour certain words, and it eased our using pictures. (The rest of this paragraph has been deleted by an editor I do not know.)

Measha is a descendant of Black slaves who were freed because they fought for Britain during the War of Independence. She reminds me of Richard Pierpoint who created a Coloured Corps to fight American invaders. Her family’s name is listed in The Book of Negroes created by Brigadier General Samuel Birch. It lists and describes 3,000 coloured people sent to Nova Scotia.
