Basket of Fruit by Caravaggio, 1599
Dear friends,
I wasn’t at my computer this week. However, I have published a page entitled Beast literature. It contains a list of most of the posts I have written on Beast fables, but not the fables themselves. These are listed on a separate page.
Missing is a post about the various naturalists whose descriptions were used to tell about animals. Herodotus was the first to describe animals, but most fabulists and naturalists used a book entitled the Physiologus to obtain the information they required.
I will post this short note and will return to my normal activities as soon as I feel better.
Love to everyone ♥

David,
Beast literature is quite fascinating. It’s a subject I taught as a university teacher. It covers children’s literature: The Wind in the Willows, Winnie-the-Pooh, Beatrix Potter, etc. But I repeated myself so each post as complete as possible. I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. At times, it is disabling. Enjoy.:-)

Derrick, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome feeds on stressful events. I own a share in a building where I may occupy an apartment. The share must be sold in cash, which means it is not easily accessible. I’m giving it away, but prospective buyers would like the apartment to be brand new. If I put down hardwood and ceramic floors everywhere, and renovate the bathrooms, the apartment would sell more easily, but it would sell at a higher price. It remains a share and shares are equal or should be. I have replaced the wiring and repaired the plumbing. I have also installed air conditioning in the apartment I occupy. As well, I have renovated the kitchen. I cannot do more than I have done. I would be burning that money. Moreover, there is no reserve fund. If repairs are needed, one receives sudden bills. My family bought the share on my behalf, but I had hired a lawyer to study all the documents and asked for an inspection by a certified inspector. The professionals were brushed aside. We haven’t reached the age where women are taken seriously. Would that I were not so fragile. 🙂

So glad you are feeling better, Micheline. I’ve been laid low with an upper respiratory complaint, going on two weeks now. As I age, these things get harder and harder to overcome, even with medication. I’m sure stress brought it on, as your fatigue was brought on by stress. I hope things are settling down for you.

I thank you for very kind words. I’m sorry to hear about upper respiratory problems. It’s age. We are now more vulnerable to stress and, as my father used to say, our future is in the past. Fortunately, we are bloggers. I never expected that we could be a community, but we are. Let us hope for the best.
